Hello lovelies, I know you’re probably thinking…look at her popping up out of nowhere talking about her current beauty favourites, after her little hiatus;-). I didn’t want to end the year without writing a blog post, so I’m killing two birds with one stone here. I’ve really missed blogging and most importantly I really wanted to connect with my readers and say THANK YOU!!! Thank you for making this relatively new blogger fee totally welcome in this little big olé virtual space we all share. I’ve really learned so much in so little time and am back with a new vigour and passion for the blogging life. Without further ado, here’s some beauty products I’m loving right now, if you can then do check them out and let me know what your thoughts are.
I love how smooth this glides on the skin and was very surprised at the coverage it provided. It gives my skin a nice medium coverage that looks very natural but still covers my little imperfections, and the 30spf is an added bonus. I looked on the rodial website for a link to the product and couldn’t find one on the uk site version, so I’m really hoping it’s not getting discontinued or I really will cry. I guess if it is that’ll be the time for me to check out reneerouleau.com and see if I can find another I like from there. Still, big fingers crossed they’re still selling it here! In the meantime, you can get it at Spacenk currently on sale for £22.50.
- Next up….if you don’t know about Benefit’s They’re Real mascara, all I have to say to you is, what rock have you been hiding under?
Kim K had people rushing to their nearest beauty counters to buy this when she first endorsed it. I must say, even without her giving it the thumbs up, this mascara totally rocks. It really does lengthen and give you that false lash look so easily, I usually save for those nights out when I need that little extra va-va-voom and it never fails to deliver.
- Estée Lauder doublewear stay in place foundation definitely counts as one of my top 5 beauty discoveries in 2015.
I actually don’t know how I’ve survived all these years without any knowledge of this foundation. It does exactly what it says on the pack. Flawless buildable coverage, stays in place all day and I’ve found that a little goes a long way, so your £30 investment is totally worth it. Definitely one of my favourites at the moment.
- YSL’s Touché Eclat has been a staple in my makeup bag for years now.
I LOVE this little pen, it really does help bring that nice glow and adds dimension to my face. I use it on its own sometimes when I’m having a makeup free day but need to a little oomph to give a little something extra.
- Staying on the YSL wagon, this Couture Variation Pallete has been another daily staple of mine.
I LOVE the colours in this Pallete and how I can literally go from day to night by just adding a little glitter or making a smokey eye. The brown matches my skin tone and helps me get that no make up (makeup look) perfectly.
- I would give this Loreal Nude Magique Blur Cream a 10/10 if it wasn’t for how terribly it squirts out of the tube, if you’re not careful it literally goes everywhere.
This is a really nice and affordable primer that I personally find, covers my pores very well and gives me a nice smooth base for my foundation application. It’s a current favourite of mine, although I’m not sure how long my patience will last with how annoyingly it comes out of the tube.
- Moving on to skincare, I’ve been a fan of Alpha-H Liquid Gold for the past 6 years.
This is probably one of the very few overnight treatments that has done wonders for my uneven skintone and got rid of my dark spots. It is quite strong so I use it every other night, but if you’re new to glycol in acid then o definitely recommend starting out just twice a week and testing your tolerance. Definitely one of the best products out there (in my opinion) for effective skin resurfacing.
- This Alpha-H Balancing Cleanser is a perfect accompaniment to the liquid gold.
I don’t use this as daily cleanser simply because I have plenty of other affordable daily ones that do the job just as well. I do however like to use it on the alternate nights when I’m applying the liquid gold, to remove any last traces or dirt or makeup and really get my skin prepped for the liquid gold to do its thing. I’ve definitely seen a difference in my skin since I started pairing these two together.
- Last but definitely not least is another household beauty favourite. Estèe Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair complex is not cheap but oh so worth the price tag.
I know this is marketed as an “anti-ageing” serum, but I’ve been using it since I was 22 and I guess maybe it’s slowed down the ageing process;-). Seriously though, this really keeps my skin well hydrated and looking/feeling smooth. I’d recommend it even if you don’t have ‘wrinkles’ to fight off, it’s even helped with my dark under eye circles. So there you have it, I whittled down the list to the products that I absolutely can not live without. I hope you find the list useful. Please do leave me a comment below and let me know if you’ve tried any of these products or better yet, what’s your current beauty favourite? I’d love to know about it:-).
Till next time, remember to love the life you’re living and here’s to an amazing 2016!
P.s. Are we connected on social media? I’m very active on Instagram and Twitter and would to connect and read some of your posts. Xoxo!
