Whats next for Amanda Millie???

Hello beautiful people, I wanted to do a little update on whats next for Amanda Millie as a blog. As I start to really focus on being more consistent with the blogging, I realise that I probably need to do an update post for my readers.
I made a little video for you that kind of summarises more or less this blog post, so if you are a more visual person and prefer video then click the video below to watch. If however you like to read, then scroll down for the written post. You can also do both, is totally acceptable;-).
So whats next for Amanda Millie, you ask? Here’s a little run that encompasses most, but not all of the topics i’d like to cover on the blog.
Food
I absolutely love food and I especially like to try new things or recreate recipes that I find online. As my health has been a huge issue for me lately, my diet has had to change drastically and there are a lot of things I have gad to restrict. I am gluten intolerant and also unable to process cow’s milk, so that has been a very interesting change.
I am learning to make adjustments while still enjoying food and being healthy. As most of you know, I am a mother (meet my son here) and because of that, I try to teach my son some healthy eating habits. You can expect some more healthy recipes, some family friendly cooking and most importantly some delicious food. Healthy doesn’t have to boring and hopefully I can be a testament to that.
Fitness
Since being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease earlier this year, and gaining well over 20 pounds in a very short period of time, my fitness has suffered. I am now trying to get myself fit and healthy, whilst learning to listen to my body. There are a lot of things that I am no longer as good at because my body just cannot take the stress. I used to be a huge advocate of HIIT (high intensity interval training), spin and really anything hardcore, but at the present moment my body cannot do all those things.
I am hoping to document this journey as I learn to navigate this fitness thing in other less taxing ways, till my heath stabilises. One thing I have really been getting into, is yoga, as cliche as it sounds it has really helped me get centred and grounded. There are a lot of other types of exercise that I intend to get into, and as I do, I will document them for you lovely people.
Health
As I mentioned above, my health has really been at the forefront of my daily life over the past few months. One thing I have really come to embody is the holistic way of healing. I made a decision that I didn’t want to be pumped full of drugs that do nothing for me and only cover up the symptoms instead of getting to the root of the problem. This is not in any way discrediting modern medicine, nor is it encouraging anyone else to do the same. I am simply sharing my own journey as I try different things to get back to health.
Family
The most important people in my family are definitely my family, and I would love to share them with you. We do a lot of things together as a family like cooking, travelling and so much more. As the blog matures, I’ve realised that I absolutely love doing things with my loved ones, and creating content with them just seems like the easiest thing to do.
There are a lot of things I have experienced as a parent that I feel I would’ve loved it if someone had shared some tips with me on to handle. Parenting is probably the most rewarding and most challenging life long venture I have ever participated in. You can look forward to more posts exploring the highs and lows of being a parent and also fun things that I do with my little one.
Fashion
I am going to start this one off by saying that I am in no way a ‘fashionista’ nor do I want to be. As mommies, it is so easy to get bogged down with everyday life, and wearing so many hats a the same time. I have been a victim of this in the past, and as a result I found that I lost my love for fashion.
I love clothes, dressing up and just looking and feeling good. This is why I believe that mommies can be stylish, sexy and awesome.
Travel
Anyone that knows me, knows that I LOVE to travel and will take any opportunity to hop on plane/train/car to get to an adventure. In the past few months I have taken a few trips with and without my family and have written quite a lot about the places I have been to. You can expect to read more on my travels, tips on great places to eat and visit.
Self Love
I can’t write about what’s next for Amanda Millie without adding the self love aspect of it. My life tagline is all about loving the life that you’re living, with all that comes with it. One thing I have come to notice is how much most of of us struggle with this, including me. My biggest challenge at the moment, is learning to love not only the great bits but also the dark shadows of my life. This to me includes learning to be comfortable in my skin, being confident that I AM GOOD ENOUGH. YOU are good enough, and worthy and deserving of everything that type want in your life.
It is time that we started to honour ourselves and this journey we are on, and for me this starts with being honest with myself about where I’m at in life and how I feel at any given moment. Something tells me this one is going to be an interesting challenge, so stay tuned.
Friday Female
Friday female is something that I feel so strongly about, because I truly believe that as women we need to celebrate ourselves and each other. I came up with the idea to spotlight some fabulous females that are truly living their lives on their terms, unapologetically pursuing their dreams and passions.
It’s so important to me to shine a light on these amazing women and fill my readers with some women that can inspire us all to live authentically and unapologetically. Every other friday will be a new kickass female interviewed on the blog.
Life and Everything Else
I have never really been one to conform to any kind of theme, hence I added this little section. This is the part where I will probably go with the flow, and blog about anything else that I feel will be nice to share. I’m not exactly sure how this is going to look, but that’s the beauty of not knowing right?
Ok my lovelies, I think I have blabbered enough now, so I think I’ll sign off here. Hopefully this post gives you a bit of an idea on whats next for Amanda Millie as a blog. So here’s to being more visible and living authentically.
If this post is of any interest to you, please DO show some love. Leave me a comment below and share your thoughts, or share this post with a friend.
Until next time, Love the life you’re living!!
Amanda xoxo

Hi Sam, thank you so much. I will definitely be posting more about the autoimmune disease in the future.
My sister has just been diagnosed with celiac disease so the change to gluten free has been difficult for her. I’m constantly searching easy recipes for her. Travelling is life! I share the same passion!
