So yesterday really was a random sunshine and bright colours in London type of day, and if you live in the UK, then you definitely know how few and far between those are. The sun was shining, the birds were singing (ok so I didn’t actually hear them myself, but I’m sure they were singing though;-)).
I don’t know about you, but there’s just something about lovely weather that instantly kicks up my endorphin levels and makes feel all happy for no reason. Do you ever realise how much friendlier even people you bump into on the street, suddenly become when the Sun is shining? Considering how people in London don’t even make eye contact with each other, everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere, give them a little sun and its suddenly good mornings and let’s go to the pub :-).
Anyway, I decided to make an effort to dress how I felt. I had a lunch date with my mum and a free afternoon to browse the shops for some new buys. During the sunnier days, I love nothing more than adding a pop of colour to my outfits, and that’s exactly what I did with this outfit. Anyone who knows me will know that I am actually quite good at bargain spotting, and as much as I like to dress and look good…I like saving money even more.
My colours were white and hot pink and I think they really gelled together quite well. The jeans are a pair of Levi’s that I’ve literally had forever. I think I bought that at the Las Vegas outlet mall a good 6 years ago for $10. BARGAIN!!! All these years later they still fit (yay yo keeping fit), and they still look good. I actually put a pair of shorts on to begin with, but upon stepping outside I realised that this was just a little ambitious. It was warm, but not that warm! The shorts were from Unionbay, were also white and – you guessed it – super cheap!
The wedges are also another bargain buy from good olé Primany (that’s Primark to the not so cool kids), that I also got for £9. The white top is from Zara basics and the blazer is from Asos, bought on sale down from £75 to £15, winning!!!
So there you have it, that’s what I wore on a random London summer’s day.

Love the hot pink! It was a gorgeous day in the Netherlands yesterday too, and today is even warmer! I agree, warmer sunshine-filled days make me bring out the brights, though my daughter has been helping me spruce up my drab wardrobe over the past few years!
Love the shoes. I thought they were orange from the photos but you say pink so I’m not sure my computer is showing them correctly, but hurrah for bright colours.
