Friday Female: Spotlight on Brittney Meads
Hello beautiful people! It is Friday and of course that means its time for another instalment of Friday Female, and this week in the spotlight is the uber talented Miss Brittney Meads. I met this beautiful lady literally a few weeks ago and I after just talking for 10 minutes, I immediately knew that I had to interview her.
Brittney is a self taught fashion designer, who also happens to make ALL her own clothes from scratch just about everyday. She has just finished designing a dress for Ted Baker, has a Menswear collection launching in a few months and is only 26 years old.
What is Friday Female?
Friday Female is all about the empowered woman who is unapologetically following her passion/s and choosing to live life on her own terms. Brittney is all that and so much more. We sat down to talk about life, her career and the art of being happy. Put your kettle on, make yourself a nice cup of tea and watch the interview below. There were quite a few golden nuggets that I took away from my time with Brittney, so make sure you scroll down after you watch the video.
From the moment Brittney opened her mouth to speak, I was mesmerised by her spirit. This is a lady who knows herself, what she wants and isn’t afraid to go for it! One thing that really stood out about her, is how happy and positive she is.
I love what she said about first job and learning that rejection didn’t need to be such a big a deal, and that once you get that one ‘yes’ then it’s totally worth it. She truly embodies and embraces her passion, hence her making clothes every single day, practising and honing her craft.
My biggest takeaway from this interview was really that you’ve just got to go for whatever you want. Whatever your dream is, pursue it. We are limitless human beings with endless possibilities, all we have to do is look within ourselves. There is a certain liberation in just following your joy and doing what you love. Love yourself, follow your passion and love the life that you’re living.
You can check out Brittney on Instagram and Twitter. Make sure you show her some love, get in touch with her for some bespoke designs and look out for her exciting projects launching soon.
